Norma - The Invisible Mother (vinyl-LP)
Norma is as much a band as a concept containing both visual and musical experiences. Their goal is to look outside the classical band format and try to broaden the cooperation with all sorts of creative minds.
Their music is influenced by a lot of genres, ambient, kraut, noise, electronica, indie and the biggest influence is landscapes in all forms. Their ambition is to capture the minimalistic sound of just being three but also to challenge it and despite that sound grand. Playing live they try to give the audience much more than just a musical experience, using video, atmospheric sounds, theatrical elements and a balance between lightness and darkness. However they never fall in the trap on just relying on effects. There is always a nerve and presence in their shows which makes you fall completely into their music and the world they create onstage.
Norma are: Love Martinsen [guitar, keyboard, bass pedals] Erik Vallin [bass, keyboard, vocals] Petter Bendelin [drums, keyboard, vocals]
